Meet the directors

Kaara McHugh

Director

Kaara McHugh holds a Master of Music in Vocal Pedagogy from the Boston Conservatory and has over 10 years of experience teaching private voice. She is currently a voice teacher and Co-Artistic Director at Studio 12. Most recently, she was a Lecturer of Voice at the University of WI Oshkosh. She has also taught K-12 music education, including band, general music, choir, and musical theatre. Kaara is active in the Green Bay theatre scene, directing and performing in numerous productions. She has sung as a soloist with the Manitowoc Symphony, Oshkosh Symphony, and with the Dudley Birder Chorale.

Music Director

Ben holds an MM in Vocal Pedagogy from Boston Conservatory and serves as a voice teacher and Co-Artistic director at Studio 12. His students have gained acceptance into prestigious programs such as Belmont University's Contemporary Music program, UWSP's BFA in Musical Theatre, and Interlochen. Ben is also on staff as a voice teacher and music director in UWGB's Theatre Department. In the Green Bay area, he has performed with the John Kelley Fusion Express Orchestra, the Allouez Village Band, and the St. Norbert Abbey Quartet, and has participated in Summer Theatre at St. Norbert College.
