Dear Greater Green Bay Community,

For many years, St. Norbert College's Next Stage Summer Theatre has been a cornerstone of our arts community, providing high school students across Northeast Wisconsin with unparalleled opportunities. This prestigious program brought together performers, musicians, and crew members from various high schools, creating a collaborative and enriching environment. Next Stage offered college-level training and practical experience in musical theatre production, paving the way for many alumni to pursue BFAs in Musical Theatre and careers in professional theatre.

 

Unfortunately, the Next Stage program lost funding this summer, leaving a significant void in our community. High school students who relied on this program for artistic growth and summer engagement now face the prospect of having no outlet for their talents and passions.

 

As private voice teachers who have worked closely with many Next Stage participants, Ben and I have witnessed firsthand the transformative impact this program has had on young artists. The professionalism and dedication of Next Stage were truly remarkable, and we could not stand by and let these talented students miss out on such a vital opportunity.

Determined to keep the spirit of Next Stage alive, we decided to leverage our community connections and launch a special production of Gilbert and Sullivan's "Pirates of Penzance." This project aims to provide the high school students of Northeast Wisconsin with a platform to continue their artistic journey, ensuring they can unite, learn, and shine on stage this summer.

We need your support to make this dream a reality. Your donation will directly fund the essential elements of our production, including rehearsal spaces, workshop materials, and performance costs.
